Company events that combine activity, cooperation and experience
Outfitter Kompagniet designs company events in which activities, practical logistics, cooperation and experience are put together around what the day needs to achieve — from kick-offs and conferences to summer parties, company days and special formats such as the Race challenge and the Oslo ferry event.
An event with a purpose
A company event can be many things: the start of a new year, a conference for the whole organisation, a summer party or a shared day for every employee. We always start with the purpose — what participants should leave with — and build the activities, programme and logistics around it.
Company events are different from team building with a learning objective. If the day is mainly about developing how a team works together, team building is the right approach. Many events combine the two: a shared experience with a few well-chosen cooperation exercises.
Events and kick-offs
A kick-off should bring people together around the direction and give energy for what lies ahead. We plan kick-offs, theme days and strategy or leadership seminars where talks and activities work together, so the message is not only heard but experienced.
Conferences
For conferences and larger theme days we can run the active parts of the programme — from short, energising activities between sessions to a longer shared task that brings participants together across departments. The format is adapted to the number of participants, the venue and the rest of the day's programme.
Summer and themed parties
Summer and themed parties can be held in our own setting in Bøgeskoven on Stevns — a 50-person tipi and a forest cabin close to the sea — or at a venue of your choice. The day can combine activities in nature with food cooked over the fire and time together.
Company day
A company day brings the whole organisation together for one shared day. Among the customer assignments are company days for e-conomic and Christiansen & Essenbæk, with around 300 employees in total at two locations in Copenhagen and Glostrup. In Glostrup, 160 employees took part in six active work stations with instructors, combined with four professional workshops on topics including fall protection and product testing.
We have also delivered a company day for Arkil. The programme is put together around the organisation's size, culture and what the day should mark.
Race challenge
The Race challenge (Racerløb) is a coordination and team exercise in which teams work under time pressure. Teams earn points and can use them to "buy" access to resources and materials, so planning, prioritisation and cooperation decide the outcome. Different point systems can be used depending on the purpose.
It typically suits 10–30 participants and lasts from half a day to a full day. It can be combined with a bridge-building exercise.
The Race challenge has been used as part of the foreman programme at Christiansen & Essenbæk and as one of the team exercises for FIU. Since 2014, Cronquist/Outfitter has delivered repeated team and theme days for FIU — both one-day sessions and theme days with an evening programme and overnight stay, for the leadership team of typically 4–6 people and for larger employee groups of around 30.

Oslo ferry event
An event can be linked to a departure on the Oslo ferry. We have delivered a half-day team-building session for around 25 participants from a Copenhagen company, with a range of indoor activities before the ferry departed.
If your event is to be connected with a trip on the Oslo ferry, we design a format around the departure that suits your group and purpose.
When values and culture are part of the day
If a shared day is also meant to work with the organisation's values, the induction of new employees or culture, The Way We Work is the right programme.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a company event and team building?
- A company event brings the organisation together around a shared experience — a kick-off, a conference, a party or a company day. Team building has a learning objective for the team and always includes reflection. Many events combine the two.
- How many participants can a company event have?
- It depends on the format. The Race challenge typically suits 10–30 participants, while a company day can bring several hundred employees together on one day.
