Team Development

Team development – from group to functioning team

Team development is a process, not a day. We work with how the team makes decisions, distributes tasks, handles disagreement and learns from what does not go as planned — until collaboration becomes faster and more robust.

What we work on

  • Team understanding: what the team exists to do and who does what.
  • Positive use of differences, including JTI as a shared language where relevant.
  • Feedback and evaluation from the learning organisation.
  • Communication, including when the team is geographically distributed or led at a distance.
  • Motivation and energy in daily work, so productivity follows.

A typical process

  1. 1MappingConversations and possibly JTI profiles so we understand the team's actual patterns.
  2. 2Shared foundationA day or more where the team gains language for its own collaboration.
  3. 3PracticeActivity-based work with team tasks, action learning and structured reflection.
  4. 4Follow-upNew agreements, feedback and follow-up on what has actually changed.

Team development and individual development connect

Many teams struggle because individual roles and development needs are unclear. We therefore work both with the team as a whole and with the development of the individual employees — including onboarding, instruction and the conversations the leader needs to hold.

Not the same as team building

Team building can open up collaboration and let people see each other differently. Team development changes performance over time through follow-up, shared agreements and practical use in daily work.
